Hello
Very nice work! Quite inspiring..I recebtly purchased a 12x60 mobile home in which I plan to build a logging/aggregate line in. I was also planning a double level theme with a helix...where to put the helix is/was a serious concern...so I decided to do a long switchback.incorporating both levels into one scene...that should be a nice task for a rainy weekend....Thanx for letting me view your site!!!
I've been considering a multi deck layout (room size is 19'x7') using a helex to get to the height and L-brackets for the upper level. Your idea using shelving brackets will get me there easier and cleaner. Thanks for sparking the idea lightbulb. ART
Congratulations! I spent only about 3 minutes on your site. It is very well designed. Your photo gallery is impressive, and the detail in your layout is astonishing. I know that photos never do justice to reality, so I know your work is a labor of labor of love. Again, congratulations!
Skip,
Though you may not remember me, we met, at your octagonal house when I worked at the Public Museum and asked you to head up the production team and be the lead designer for the scale furniture factory model in The Furniture City exhibit. The end result was a remarkable piece of teamwork and artistry.
Though I now live in Maryland (I'm a U.S, Park Ranger at Antietam National Battlefield) I visited Grand Rapids this past July and while there took some time to revisit the exhibit and the model, both of which still seem to be going strong.
Your Arcadia and Betsey River set up is a marvel of engineering, artistry and imagination and must provide you with an enormous amount of satisfaction.
Though not modeling as much as when I met you, I still keep my hand in the 54mm world of toy soldiers (http://toysoldiersforever.blogspot.com) which keeps me quite young at heart.
I hope all is well with you and that you have a very happy new year.
